It was great, professional and enjoyable!
Yummy food, leftovers and a clean kitchen- perfect!
Chef was very polite, friendly and enthusiastic! His food was delicious and service was impeccable.
The food that Oriol cooked for us during the evening was like taking a culinary tour of Spain. The dishes were presented very well and I enjoyed the speciality dish of assorted Croquetas - these are a must! The beef meatballs and squid in tomato sauce was very tasty, and as with all of the dishes, my plate was empty afterwards. Oriol was very helpful in explaining each dish as it was presented to us, and knew every answer to any question we had about the food. Hopefully he wasn't too late home as we ended up chatting for a while after dinner. Oriol was great company and clearly a passionate chef!
On friday we had the absolute pleasure of having chef Oriol cook for us. It was an amazing spanish feast! Oriol is from Barcelona and it was a lovely touch to have him cook dishes from his home country. He even brought Iberico ham with him from Spain which was delicious!
The amuse bouche was great and he took the time to explain the difference between croquetas and croquettes. He made four different ones with mouth watering flavours such as iberico ham, blue cheese, spinach and a creamy one. They were cripsy on the outside and perfectly smooth on the inside.
His starter, Salmorejo, was equally delicious. He made his own assortment of homemade bread and they were still warm when they arrived on the table. His main was slow cooked beef meatballs in a rich tomato sauce which had a sweet flavour and the meatballs were very unusual unlike anything I had before. My only objection was that he served too much. His dessert was probably one of my favourite courses of the night, his award winning Almond tart. He presented the tart to the table before cutting it and it looked like a masterpiece. He cut it in little pieces so it wasn't an overpowering dessert. The almond mixture inside was not too sweet and smooth with a crispy top.
Chef Oriol made us feel very relaxed throughout the evening. He explained every dish to us and there were no delays between the dishes. I would definitely recommend him!
Oriol, hailing from Spain, prepared a very creative menu including dishes I have not tried before, such as Salmorejo. He showed great passion for his food, especially his Croquetas which he proudly mentioned are stocked by Fortnum & Mason, and I can see why. Oriol was attentive and diligent throughout, and even gave us a quick cooking lesson at the end (now I know how to chop an onion the Spanish way). Well done.
A great experience, a chef full of character as well as fine food.
Oriol catered to our every need and was diligent in explaining and talking us through his courses. His passion for travel and international food was highlighted in his cooking., and I would highly recommend to all those looking for a chef to cater for their event.
Oriol went the extra mile in demonstrating some of his techniques and teaching us a few tips for cooking which further added to the expereince.
A truly delicious evening ! Oriol is a fantastic chef with outstanding passion, delivered beautifully through his cooking. All the courses were sensational!
Oriol is an extremely talented chef who gave us an amazing evening. The food was exceptional (his croquets are the best thing I have tasted in years) and his company was invaluable. Delicious food, lovely guy and a really great evening.
Difficult question. Risotto and croquetas. I have loads of fans loving it!
Extra virgin olive oil, garlic and onion. Enhance flavour to another level.
