About the Chef

Monica's love for cooking comes from her mother, Anita, who is her guru inside (and outside) the kitchen. Hailing from Jaipur, India, her mum started cooking at the tender age of 10 and over the years has graced many guests with her flavourful and mouth watering North Indian Punjabi dishes. Hailing from Jaipur, India, her mum started cooking at the tender age of 10 and over the years has graced many guests with her flavourful and mouth watering North Indian Punjabi dishes. Consequently, Monica has grown a passion for being creative in the kitchen. She started cooking at a really young age. When she turned 16, she got the opportunity of going to the States and going to university where she did herdegree in Hospitality Management with a specialization in restaurant and food service management. Whilst attending uni, she worked in the restaurant industry to gain some real life experience and this is what fuelled her dream of owning her own restaurant one day. But until then, Monica is your private chef! All of the dishes are made using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Monica manages to accentuate and balance the incredible gamut of smells and tastes of Indian cuisine to produce exceptionally crafted dishes that are a delight to all of the senses. Her ambition, art and skill have attracted the attentions of food lovers around the country. She has been critically acclaimed by some of the leading voices of opinion and featured in BBC TV, BBC Radio, BBC Food Magazine, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Sainsbury’s Magazine and Monica combines her passion for food and teaching in her Indian cookery classes to enable her passionate protégés to learn the skills and tricks to turn-out Indian food the way it should be.
