Miguel Mesquita brings his love and passion for the culinary world to every detail of his dishes. With his training at Le Cordon Bleu, London, plus his cultural background he brings to his dishes not only passion, but also flavors and aromas that will transport you to his Mediterranean and Portuguese roots. With his training at Le Cordon Bleu, London, plus his cultural background he brings to his dishes not only passion, but also flavors and aromas that will transport you to his Mediterranean and Portuguese roots. Very creative and experimental, he pulls in influences from all the culinary world. Leaving a career as an Industrial Engineer, he schooled at the Hospitality and Tourism School in Porto, Portugal and also at Le Cordon Bleu, London to following the dream of becoming a Chef. This course ignited his passion and pushed his skills further. Shortly after he was introduced to and participated in the Portuguese edition of “MasterChef” and later he auditioned for and was cast on to “Guerra dos Pratos” (War of the Dishes) on FoxLife Portugal channel, a competition-style cooking show similar to the Best British Bake-Off. After 3 months of grueling competitions and all-day-filming, Miguel, an amateur, ended up winning the competing against some of Portugal’s best restaurant chefs and restauranteurs.
