I have so much passion for and interest in Asian cuisine. Further, since living in England, I have learned how to fuse food without losing the traditional taste of East and West.
Beef Rendang, an original dish from Indonesia. An aromatic rich and tender dry curry, slow cooked for more than three hours that results the coconut cream caramelised with spices that gives an explosive flavour. This is the favourite dish of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore and voted as number one dish in the world by CNN.
Turmeric is used a lot in Indonesian Cuisine. It is well known as a healthy ingredient and gives food a lovely colour and a great taste.
Coconut is an amazing ingredient and you can play with it in savoury and desserts. In the far east, we use this in most of our dishes, as well as lemongrass that gives a nice aromatic lemony taste to our dishes. I just love to smell all the spices and herbs in the dishes I create.
