This was my second experience with La Belle Assiette and it was even better than the first!
Our chef, Matteo was personable, passionate and so friendly, and he and his assistant cooked up a beautiful Sicilian feast for us. The food was out of this world- really capturing the taste of Sicily. Matteo was also able to tell us about all the dishes, which added so much to the evening.
Would recommend Matteo in a heartbeat, and my guests all agree! Thank you!
Brilliant, What a brilliant Idea and Service !
Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, our chef for the evening turned up with his assistant and immediately set to cook up a culinary delight, Sicilian Prawns on a bed of risotto, Tender octopus with roast garlic potatoes and a three Italian cheese selection with a honey and basil dressing – it was delicious, absolutely first class. Our wonderful chef, Matteo Casamichela served the food to us with an intense pride and passion for his creations which was a delight in itself. Afterwards we had a glass of wine together and he continued to talk and discuss all matters culinary and chefy with his infectious enthusiasm. Ten minutes later he and his assistant sorted out all the pots and left the kitchen far cleaner than it was on their arrival ! Would 100% recommend La Belle Assiette and our culinary genius Matteo. We will definitely be booking again.
The experience was very poor and I won’t be using this service again. First the chef was an hour late to arrive. He did not bring any burger buns and I had to insist they buy some. The chicken was undercooked, the meat was very tough. He tried to serve 9 tiramisu for dessert although I paid for 16 guests. He had a very bad attitude and was extremely confrontational. I was glad when they left my home as the experience from start to finish was just terrible and ruined the evening
Matteo provided an absolutely brilliant evening of food of exceptional quality. He was polite, professional and fantastically enthusiastic about the food he served to us. I find him difficult to fault.
Matteo prepared a 4 course dinner for our friend's 50th birthday. We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of the experience he created for us. The food was out of this world. Perfectly balanced with the finest of ingredients and thoughtfully presented to deliver a first class tasting menu that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be inviting him back again.

Matteo and his sous chef were excellent! They were prompt, friendly and cooked a very delicious meal for my partner's birthday. They accommodated my partners vegetarian request with some memorable dishes. They were very professional and left the kitchen spotless. I would absolutely recommend matteo for any dinner party.
Tomato, fish and pasta. Those are the three main ingredients of almost any dish in Sicily, where my passion started to grow when I was a kid.
Because I love my job and I want to share it with other people, want to enjoy it with them. It's not just about cooking the food, it's about making people happy and providing a memorable experience!
I love travelling, which gives me an opportunity to get to know new cultures and new ingredients so I can mix and create new dishes in the future.
Gualtiero Marchesi, he is the best Italian chef in the world. I had a great opportunity to attend his school and meet him in person.
