Martin provided superb food from a small, not very well equipped kitchen in a house we had rented. He was extremely discreet and we could not fault anything
Martin was a fantastic Chef and provided us with our tailored menu to suit our taste. The food was absolutely delicious. Martin was also extremely friendly, entertaining and made us feel very relaxed. We would highly recommend him.
The whole experience was fantastic. Booking was really straight forward. I was able to choose a wonderful menu that would appeal to all of my guests. Making alterations to the menu and number of guests was also straight forward. Martin was fantastic, and clearly is a highly talented and passionate chef

We had Chef Martin Davies and his lovely wife Charlotte for our event; a dinner party for 12 at the National Trust property Godolphin House. Absolutely brilliant evening. The food was wonderful. In fact, everything from Menu planning, Food, preparation, to clearing up, all was faultless. They made our night! Thank you both!!!
Martin provided a great evening with amazing seafood. He was very passionate about his food and provided us with a special meal.
Martin arrived with a very friendly smile and a warm handshake! He and his wife started work in the kitchen immediately and set the dining table to a high standard. The pre planned menu was exactly as we discussed and the food was unbelievable!
Martin and the team were superb. Before the evening, communications were cheerful and helpful and set the scene for how the team operate on the night. Able to accommodate all our guests with allergies and dislikes easily and without any fuss. Professional, adaptable and their company added to the evening. Food was absolutely divine, fine dining meets yummy. Would 100% recommend.
The experience with la belle assiette was fast simple and easy! The chef was amazing and the food was simply delicious! We opted for fillet steak as our main and more than one of the party stated that it was in fact the best steak they had ever tasted. This, I can agree with. This along with the warm and friendly service staff procided and the pure enthusiasm of Martin made the celebratory meal one to remember. Martin Davis comes highly recommended by me and my family and we can't thank him enough for making a special event even more special!

Martin prepared a fantastic New Years Eve meal for us...his energetic personality really came through in the lovely food.
The children ate first, followed by the adults. It felt like eating at a chefs table of a restaurant, but homely and casual is our own kitchen. We were all tended to delightfully, courses seemlessly served, but not rushed, to top quality, with gorgeous presentation. We all loved our food and martin was delightful company, conveying his passion for fresh whole foods prepared simply, but very gourmet!

Firstly the communication beforehand was very comprehensive and reassured us that the vegetarian could be accommodated.

Spoke with Chef Davies a few times before the event to check the menu, etc. and then on the day itself Martin arrived and just took over the kitchen. He made sure the table was set, and was very enthusiastic about what he was cooking and added in a few extra touches too. The food itself was fantastic, the lamb shoulder was amazing! Once we'd finished Martin then cleared up and meant that we had had to do nothing at all except eat and enjoy, which we certainly did! Thank you!!
A beautiful meal, restaurant quality food in the comfort of your own home and with nothing to clear up afterwards all made for a fabulous experience with a very capable and friendly chef who had clearly put a lot of thought into the menu!
Amazing
Not only was the food absolutely exceptional and outstanding, on time and cooked to perfection but Martin was just superb. So passionate and personable and an absolute pleasure to meet. We regularly dine at top London restaurants and martins food was on par if not better.

Martin cooked our wedding meal for us and the meal was the perfect end to the perfect day. Outstanding food and excellent service. He was really friendly and happy to share cooking tips with us. Everything about the experience was amazing. Plus Martin was happy to accomodate a few alterations to the agreed menu to accomodate different people's tastes. Worth every penny!
Martin stepped in at the very last minute because the original chef booked had an accident the day before our celebration event. With 24 hours notice Martin asked for only one change to the original menu. Instead of the fondant he made an exceptional dark and white chocolate mousse.
Martin was extremely personable, good humoured, happy to share recipe ideas and top tips. He ensured that our celebration evening went without a hitch from the time he arrived until the time he left.

Couldn't have been happier with the whole package. Martin was attentive to every detail right from booking through to the end of the night. The menu was perfect and tasted and looked amazing. Overall the whole experience was fantastic and we couldn't fault a single thing. Martin really makes an effort to be involved in the evening as well as just being the chef, which created a great atmosphere and all guests were incredibly impressed.
We were delighted to start with some colourful and interesting canapés, we loved the fact that Martin smoked the pigeon he shot himself and the mackerel was also delicious! The Hake was just beautifully cooked and we finished off with chocolate fondant and local cheese (with martins chutney!). Not only was the food good but Martin and Charlotte were a lovely team to have in our house!
Martin cooked for our family dinner down in Cornwall whilst we were on holiday and it was an extremely special evening. It was different having someone to come in and cook but we all had a great time and would definitely do it again. His food was unbelievable with amazing courses throughout. He started with a sublime salt cod and quail scotch egg; then pupates of lemon sole and to finish a chocolate torte. All of the fish and the ingredients were fresh and locally sourced which, being in cornwall, meant that we had delicate and tasty fish. From start to finish Martin delivered high quality food, whilst also telling us how he made each course which certainly fuelled our desire to replicate some of his amazing dishes. The evening was extremely special and was made by Martin's delicious food which was appreciated by everyone.
Martin's food was of the highest quality, his presentation and attention to detail made each course an absolute delight. His manner created a relaxed dinner party feel, he was knowledgeable about his produce and happy to answer any questions we had - even sharing some of his recipes!
