It was a very enjoyable evening. A new experience to eat a meal with our guests without having to worry about food preparation and clearing! Lesley was very easy to speak to and the meal progressed at a speed we were happy with. The kitchen was left clean and tidy and the very few left-overs were stored in the fridge to be enjoyed the next day!
Lesley was very friendly and professional. The food she cooked was outstanding. The cream of pumpkin soup is among the finest I’ve tasted as was the goat’s cheese salad. I’d highly recommend Lesley.
Lesley was a fantastic chef, she contacted us well in advance and made it clear nothing was to much trouble. The menu was perfect and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to Lesley about each dish, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes.
She was a pleasure to have in our house, fitted in perfectly, was very professional and friendly and most importantly is a fabulous chef. I would highly recommend her services and happily hire her services again.

We were invited as guests to a dinner by friends at their home and we both really enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious - all tastes catered for, and enough for those who wanted to have seconds to do so!
It was lovely to be able to relax with our hosts not having to run around sorting the kitchen, and everything was tidied up so there was no mess to deal with afterwards.

I really enjoyed our La Belle Assiette experience throughout. I initially received a text from Chef Lesley asking when a good time to call would be - so that we could discuss the menu. This was very convenient and meant that we weren't chasing each other. She asked about our likes and dislikes - making sure that we planned a menu that suited us and our guests well. She advised on wine that may go with each course and reassured me that she would bring big platters with her in case I didn't have ones that would work. On the day, she arrived in good time and ensured the whole evening was entirely hassle free for us. The food was served at exactly the time we had planned and was DELICIOUS. We had Haggis Bon bons to start - with a dipping sauce which was just divine. The main course of venison stew came with a wide variety of sides so that guests could choose something that appealed individual. Before a final course of Crème Brule with a side of deconstructed cranachan. Best of all - by the time I went into the kitchen to find coffee for after dinner - everything had already been washed and the kitchen was spotless. I spent the evening entirely focused on my friends. There was no stress in the preparation leading up to the dinner, during the meal itself and nothing to do afterwards except talk into the night with my guests. I would highly recommend to anyone.
This was our first experience of having a "guest"chef and one we will definitely repeat. Lesley did a wonderful job from start to finish,always with a laugh and a smile.
Communication by phone and text was easy and informal with Lesley proving to be very accommodating of all our requests, menu adjustments etc.
Most importantly, the meal was fabulous - a wonderful mixture of flavours,colours and textures creating an absolute feast. Clean plates all round ( even though the portions were generous) told their own tale. We were celebrating my sister's birthday and retirement and Lesley's contribution,including baking a delicious lemon drizzle cake, capped a special weekend in the perfect way.
From the first phone call to discuss menu options, it was clear that Lesley really knew what she was doing. She came across as very professional with a great love of food and a lot of experience.

We were competition winners from the Tesco competition so were very grateful to receive this prize. Lesley was very helpful and phoned before the event to check our requirements. She was very calm during the service, friendly and professional. The dinner was very nice indeed - a hearty home cooked affair which was similar to our own Christmas dinner which was lovely. Unfortunately Lesley was late in arriving due to her other dinner running over (she arrived at 5pm and we were meant to eat at 4pm - didn’t sit down to main until 8.30pm) which did alter the overall experience for us unfortunately. Lesley did apologise to us for this.
