She is a food anthropologist and a writer who has personally cooked and hosted dinners for the likes of the Royal Academy of Arts, V & A museum, Oxford Food symposium. In 2011 she co-founded a catering business which specialises in pop-up dining with immersive elements. From tiny supperclubs to festivals for several thousands, it's been quite a ride... If food for you is more than 'just' a nice meal and you enjoy the conviviality of eating, learning more about the dishes - then Katrina is your (wo!)man. She loves the intimacy of cooking for smaller private gatherings and will involve you and your friends into the story of the meal. Katrina’s roots are in Estonia, Ukraine and Crimea with almost 20 years in London. She draws on the flavours of Eastern-Europe but is heavily influenced by Middle-Eastern ingredients and the British heritage (she was married to an Englishman for a long time!). Katrina always starts with what's in season right now in England when putting menus together. She sources most ingredients directly from producers, many are organic and small scale. She loves the underdog! Be it humble vegetables (turnips with honey?) or savoury lardo (wrapped around prune with walnuts, mmm). She only serves sourdough bread and free-range meat. Read all Hide
