About the Chef

John started his career working in 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants in England (Le Gavroche, The Counnaught Hotel and The Waterside Inn and the south of France (L'Amandier, and the Moulin de Mougins) Winning many Awards including the Roux Scholarship and young chef of the year. After 4 years in the French 3 star Michelin…... John started his career working in 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants in England (Le Gavroche, The Counnaught Hotel and The Waterside Inn and the south of France (L'Amandier, and the Moulin de Mougins) Winning many Awards including the Roux Scholarship and young chef of the year. After 4 years in the French 3 star Michelin Moulin de Mougin Chef Roger Verge ask john to take up the position of executive chef for the Onassis family running the food and beverage operation for their yachts and villas, working around the world with the Onassis family was a very enjoyable experience with many interesting stories which john will share over a glass or two. John was then head hunted to work in Thailand for the Dusti Thai Hotel group running their weston style restaurants, he also cooked for the King, Queen and princesses of Thailand after three years in Thailand john went on to Australia to open and run a fine dining seafood restaurant for 3 years on Manly beach Sydney after which he went on to California with his family to open his own business and continue to cook for clientele who are passionate about fine food. John and his family came back to England and opened the Famous Didicakes in Bath and set up a fine dining private dinner party company with offers clients not only fine food and service but the experience of how to create it.
