She taught him all the secrets of genuine and authentic Italian cooking, passed down from generation to generation. Most pertinently, he learned the importance of sourcing the freshest ingredients and its centrality to Italian cuisine. Since moving to London, he worked as a chef in several well-respected Italian establishments. Now, he is more passionate than ever about producing his speciality hand made pasta dishes for his patrons. He is not only an expert in Italian food, but he also has a diploma at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in London, where he have been studying french cuisine. Recently he took a course in Italy with the famous Gualtiero Marchesi, for him the "father of modern cuisine, and today he is a proud member of the slow food organization in Uk, he is also one of the few chefs that are member of the slow food Chef Alliances. Gio is studying to become a master of wine after achieving a diploma as a Sommelier from the Italian Sommelier Association. Gio arrived on time - extremely nice and personable chef. We had a chat with him and he made us some drinks too and also brought some wine he recommended I couldn't find in time. The food was delicious, he explained all of the courses and as an anniversary present to my parents they were extremely impressed. I would thoroughly recommend Gio to anyone looking at using his services.
Chef Gio was fabulous. The meal was just as we hoped it would be, light and tasty. Gio was very unobtrusive and yet is clearly passionate about the food; his descriptions of each course were great. The kids absolutely loved his fresh pasta. I would definitely recommend Chef Gio and hope to use him again soon.
Chef Gio was amazing. The initial menu called for veal but as my guests did not eat veal he quickly re-worked it to include a beef starter, a riossotto saffron dish as a main.
He arrived, like a true gentlemen, right on time, had everything prepared for 8pm and gave all the guests an introduction to the food being prepared and a personal story which made the food taste all the better.
We were also able to sample some fresh pasta made by him which was excellent, the beef starter was divine, the rissotto was fun, light and a beautiful color. The dessert was the best part! It was the chef's family recipe and was an all round hit. I would highly recommend this chef!
Did i mention he left my kitchen cleaner then it was and didn't mind answering all our questions :)
We had an excellent evening.
The chef was very friendly and made the night very interesting and enjoyable. The meal was very good but disappointed that we had no potatoe dish with the main course. I will always remember my 60th birthday thank you Gio!
Gio is a really pleasant and personable chef and the food was good (but not outstanding)!
Gio was lovely and professional, and we enjoyed his description of each course as he was serving, and he did a great job clearing up. The food was all good, particularly the beef which was delicious, and the mushroom appetiser and burata starters were very tasty too. Minor points- the pastry was undercooked on the dessert and the polenta was a little bland. I would thoroughly recommend the service and Gio for a special occasion.

Booking was easy and straight forward, and the whole experience was great. Gio was thoroughly professional and struck the perfect balance between being friendly and quietly unobtrusive. He was right on time and left the kitchen immaculate at the end.
Having a chef cook dinner for us in our house was absolutely wonderful! It was a present for my partners 30th birthday from his friends.
Gio was extremely professional but very easy to talk to. His passion for food was very obvious and he gave us great cooking and restaurant tips! We will definitely be trying a few of his suggestions. He wasn't protentious either- he said the best mozzarella he's found for pizza he makes at home is from Morrisons! Definitely going to try that one.

Highlight was definitely the shallot sauce that came with the steak. Absolutely incredible! And the steak was cooked to perfection. Quite impressive saying he was using our rubbish ikea pots and pans!
Everything was left cleaner than it was before despite our protests for him to leave the washing up.
Overall a really exciting and fun experience, I'd recommend Gio to everyone!

I enjoyed the dining experience overall, the chef was very professional and excellent cooking, and very pleasant. Great explanations about each dish as well. Personally I think just being two people at home with a chef was a bit awkward, would have been more fun with more people perhaps. I didn't like the marketing team calling me up to chase me for a review during working hours - that was only after 1 review prompt email. It's way too full on, I didn't like being bothered at work for something like this with a call, and the guy started asking me to give reviews directly, without first checking if I have the time. Didn't like it.
The food was amazing and Gio was passionate about every dish on his incredible gourmet taster menu. His descriptions made the food come alive. He was professional yet friendly and relaxed from start to finish.
He is welcome back to our kitchen anytime!

The Chef was very professional and informative. He had a passion for food and it showed. Before every course a proper explanation was given that made the experience highly enjoyable. The children had a different menu to us and they thoroughly enjoyed everything too. Nothing was too much trouble for Gio and he was very flexible on timings too.

I honestly could not have wished for better on our first anniversary. We have a young daughter, and wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so instead of the hassle of babysitters and going out we decided on the in-home service, and were very pleasantly surprised. Chef Gio did a wonderful job and made our wedding anniversary extra special. The food was wonderful, it was the best pasta we've ever had (including compared to Michelin starred restaurants), and Gio's warmth and enthusiasm for the food he was cooking was infections and made the evening all the more special. Our kitchen was left absolutely spotless after he left, we couldn't recommend Gio highly enough. It was also reasonably priced.

This was a prize for a winner of our competition which we ran at www.mollymojo.co.uk and the winner fed back she had the most wonderful time. They felt completely spoilt. Grandma was there too and the 8 course meal was delicious. With a newborn baby it made for some 'quality time' and they could not sing the chef's praises enough.
Gio explained everything about the dishes and where in Italy they came from and as the little one wasn't going down he was also extremely patient and accommodating.
Gio is a 5 star Chef. This was our third experience with La Belle Assiette. All have been wonderful. However, Gio made our daughter’s birthday dinner a truly fabulous occasion. Even though there was a great deal of traffic he arrived promptly. He was both relaxed and professional. All the dishes were delicious and distinctive. The explanations added to our enjoyment. We cannot pick a favourite dish because they were all perfect. Our whole family had a wonderful evening and thank Gio so much for a unique dining experience.

What a fabulous experience, superb food and all round fantastic chef. Gio was a pleasure from start to finish, taking control of the kitchen with the absolute minimum of fuss, creating a stunning meal with surprises throughout, and taking the time to explain his wonderful dishes with a history, provenance and how they were constructed. I wanted to surprise my wife with something special and all my expectations were met. The food was lovely, rich in flavour but still delicate and light. The fresh pasta was unbelievably good (and we are from Italy so we know what good pasta looks like!). Chef Gio was great in explaining all courses and also sharing some of his stories. All in all, we highly recommend him.

We had an amazing meal with our friends. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented. The flavours were wonderful. Even our friend who is not keen on fish enjoyed everything and cleared his plate! Geo explained the food he was serving us and his passion for it was obvious. Gio and his talented assistant cooked and served-up truly genuine and authentic dishes sourced with the freshest of ingredients. Our guests where impressed and we had a wonderful evening. I did not have to lift a finger during the meal (except to pour wine!) and the kitchen was left cleaner than when they started.

Both times he was very professional and well prepared. The food was delicious and the kitchen left slick and span.

Everything was perfect: the food, the atmosphere and the professionalism of Chef Fioraso. Me and my boyfriend were really able to enjoy the evening: we didn't have to lift a finger: Che Fioraso cooked for us a beautiful meal, took it to the table and then cleaned the kitchen that was left spotless. It was like having a Michelin starred restaurant brought to your house. Not only was the food delicious but also accompanied by very interesting introduction by the chef who gave us some information about every dish. You could really see his passion: for him it isn't just a job, it is what he loves.
What a fantastic experience - we have a little baby so find it hard to get out so what a great way to celebrate a special day within the comfort of your home. Gio and his assistant were professional, enthusiastic and the food was delicious. We wanted to change the dessert from the original menu and Gio catered to our request without hesitation. One of the nicest Tiramisus we have had in a long time!
The kitchen was left immaculate after they were done cooking. We would definitely recommend and book again in the future! Also love the little touch of sending us the menu in advance for the dining table. Great service overall.

Gio, or Joe as we called him, was prompt, friendly, and everything about the evening was fantastic. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals we've had, and had our reservations before, but was in fact worth every penny and more, and will definitely be using him again, it was amazing, thank you so much Joe :)

Gio Fioraso prepared a fabulous meal from beginning to end! He surprised us as well with a courgette frappe to go with our Prosecco cocktails before dinner. The started was a totally different and fresh take on Aubergine Parmesan no heavy sauces, just pure nature flavours to tantalize the palette. The presentation for this as for all the dishes was delicate and elegant. The Sea bass Ravioli was fresh and delicious and the portions were generous. In fact one of my guests said " this is like going to a first class restaurant but better"
Gio also served each dish to the guests in a charming manner explaining each course. He cleared away everything and the kitchen was perfect when he left. He and his partner are both delightful and I would not only recommend them but I will certainly use them again. Thanks Gio!
The food was exquisite and virtually everything had been prepared by the chef himself, right down to the tagliatelle and the pastry in the millefoglie. Gio had obviously put a lot of effort into the meal, having been out to buy many of the ingredients earlier that day. The menu was obviously personal to him and each dish came with its own backstory. Additionally, we learned a lot of interesting bits of information that sealed the evening as a foodie's dream. I would highly recommend La Belle Assiette and particularly Gio to people considering this sort of dinner party in the future.
What an amazing chef.
He was so polite and understanding. So happy to tell us all about the wonderful food he had cooked and where it came from. It tasted like I had been transported back to Tuscany and it was heavenly. I certainly hope I can have him again. Perfection!
My star dish is definitely fresh pasta, so I will go with hand made tagliatelle with asparagus and ricotta cream sauce.
Obviously the most important thing for me is the word "Fresh": the 3 ingredients will be fresh tomato, a great base for all the sauce, Extra virgin olive oil from Italy and the last one will be Flour 00, without it I will be lost.
I am a private Chef, cause I believe in authenticity and devotion. When I am cooking, I am not just preparing a meal but I am giving away a little peace of myself. Real food is like art, everybody can paint, but just few people make masterpiece.
