We have only good things to say. First, the food was incredible, delicious and memorable. But more than that Chris made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. The standard of cooking was exceptional, his attention to detail was first class, and his personable and approachable demeanour made both the planning of the day - and the interactions with our guests on the day - one of the true highlights.

We had a wonderful dinner for two with Chef Chris Bond - a Christmas present for the two of us. Having no idea what to expect we were intrigued and a little apprehensive. What a fantastic experience it turned out to be. Chris devised an innovative and delicious menu which was as good as any meal we have had in Michelin starred restaurants. His delivery and attention to detail were just perfect and, on top of all that, he was great company! We had a tasting menu and Chris provided surprises along the way which made the whole evening fun (I wont put any spoiler alerts on this review). Would recommend Chris very highly and, if you are not sure if this is for you, I can only advise that you try it and I am sure you will be a convert! Great chef, fantastic food and service
Chris was suggested by the team at La Belle Assiette for a dinner for 9 people for a birthday celebration. He was a joy to work with from start to finish and went above and beyond to make it a special evening. We discussed the menu before hand to ease any concern and cater to dietary requests. On the day he arrived with a server (Victoria) and proceeded to wow us with his food. He threw in small mini courses which where playful and amused all the guests. His bread course was divine and everyone loved their main dish that second were had! He brought all his own crockery and cutlery and washed/cleaned afterwards so the table was spotless! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would have him again in a heartbeat!
Chris is the utmost professional who gets the balance right re interaction and letting the guests enjoy the experience.

The Chef - Chris Bond - was great. He turned up at the agreed time, with an assistant, and made sure we were happy with everything throughout the evening.
We really like the menu prepared by Chris which is very innovative to make it feels like a real treat. The service and plating etc was also very special. There is a lot of personal touch to the food he prepares and you can tell that he has put a lot of effort into it and also incorporating a lot of different techniques eg sous vide. I would definitely recommend Chris if you want a real treat especially if your guests are into more innovative cooking!

I believe my cooking style is creative, passionate, with added theatre to allow the consumer a window into my mind. I as a chef would always recommend a tasting menu preferably longer the menu the better, this is to showcase my cooking style properly.
My reason for being a private chef is to offer more to my customers than a restaurant ever could. Within a restaurant there are many restrictions; it can be far to travel, the menu can be restrictive or uninspiring, the service poor or intrusive. I completely remove all of these problems. When a client has booked with myself I offer a one to one consultation so together we can construct a complete tailor made menu. This way the experience can be fully enjoyed within the comfort of their home.
I don't have a favourite cook book but if I had to choose it has to be Modernist Cuisine, as this collection plays a massive contribution to the understanding and principles of cooking, and is one I always refer back too. Although, I have to say that we now have an unbelievable amount of books available with invaluable knowledge by chefs that are at the top of their field. We should all feel privileged that there is years of experience shared to us all, as we never stop learning.
