Congratulations to chef Suzanne Russell on her successful validation. Her validation took place on the 23th of June in Birmingham. The role of the jury members was to experience the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.
Suzanne has always had a passion for food from an early age, in part due to her Italian grandmother, who naturally influenced how she cooks to this very day. Her style is contemporary cosmopolitan and she believes that good simple, seasonal ingredients can achieve the most incredible flavours, created to pleasure the senses and nourish both body and soul. Suzanne’s career spans over two decades in professional kitchens and leading restaurants, leaving her fully equipped with heaps of experience and enthusiasm. –Suzanne was so friendly and lovely to have around. Communication was brilliant, we had a chat on the phone where I was able to let her know about a guest’s dietary requirements which she catered to really well. She arrived on time and was very organised and flexible about when we could start eating. The food was fantastic and I couldn’t believe this was achieved in my kitchen. Setting the table with flowers, candle sticks etc was a lovely touch, as were the bread, dip and olives for us to snack on.
-I had a super evening with friends. Suzy was warm and friendly. She dressed smartly. Professional manner. She was sensitive and flexible in regards to my dietary requirements. It all ran very smoothly. The presentation was perfect.
-Suzanne was really friendly and catered to everyone’s dietary needs, i am now a bit more open to trying new foods after trying her food it was amazing and all timings was perfect she worked really hard.
Suzanne Russell is passionate about her food and it showed in every aspect of her validation dinner. From her communication with the client prior to arriving, the flowers she added to the table and the very personal touch in the main course; using rainbow chard she grew herself.
