Congratulations to chef Manveer Holloway on his successful validation dinner. His validation took place on the 2nd of September in Cardiff. The role of the jury members was to try the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.
Chef Manveer started his career at a 4* hotel and trained under a Michelin star Head chef, where he learned a massive amount from a large banquets to precision of fine dining. He then moved to a bistro to work as a second chef doing orderings, menu development and stock control. After that Manveeer went and worked in the Channel Islands for two years in a small hotel catering at a two Rosette level and spent a lot of hard hours learning the pastry section to get a better understanding of the sweeter side of the kitchen. He then returned to his original 4* hotel and ran the pastry section catering 400 cover weddings plus restaurant menus. This experience was followed by chef Manveer moving around the resort covering all sections and working to a high level in all outlets of the resort’s kitchens.

“This was my very first booking with La Belle Assiette – I’d never even considered hiring out a private chef before and had absolutely no idea what to expect. But having hosted a fair few dinners myself before and feeling a little tired of being left out of the conversation when it came time to cook or clean, I was excited to give it a go!
On the day of the meal, Manveer and his partner arrived nice and early to prep and start cooking. I’d never had anyone cook in my kitchen before and so was a little nervous about whether my pots and pans would be up to stuff, but Manveer had brought plenty of extra “cheffy” equipment so the quality of the food wouldn’t suffer if I didn’t have an item in my cupboard. I told him how to turn on the hob and how to the set the oven and he got right down to it!
The clean up really was the cherry on top of a wonderful evening; Manveer and his partner worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was spick and span and the hob and oven returned to how they were beforehand.
