Congratulations to Jemma Harrison on her successful validation dinner. Her validation took place on the 7th of November in London. The role of the jury members was to try the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.
As a graphic design student, Jemma’s culinary journey began whilst designing a cookbook. This led her to study a culinary degree at Leith’s School of Food and Wine in 2016. She then worked her way up the kitchen ranks at Petersham Nurserie. Embodying the ethos of the company Jemma developed a passion for organic produce and ethical and sustainable sourcing through culinary creativity. Then, Jemma began working in at Koya in Soho. Suddenly she was immersed in the world of Japanese cuisine; learning about the different ingredients, people, culture and even language. This cemented the idea that food has the power to bring people together. Honing her talents and working closely with a Japanese vegetable farm, Jemma’s passion for including high quality ingredients grew stronger. Her style is versatile but she does not compromise the seasonality of ingredients when creating a culinary masterpiece.
