Validation Dinner: Isabel Ometto

Congratulations to chef Isabel on her successful validation by the La Belle Assiette Jury!

Congratulations to chef Isabel on her successful validation dinner. Her validation took place on the 18th of December in Bristol. The role of the jury members was to try the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.

The Chef

Izzy started experimenting with plant based food back in 2017, falling in love with the versatility of fruits and vegetables. Originally from Italy, she always observed her grandparents cook delicious Italian food and has, since then, ‘veganised’ a variety of Italian classics, such as eggplant parmigiana and amaretti biscuits. Izzy cooks everything from scratch, from pasta to vegan cheese. Although Italian food is something she is always happy to prepare, she also loves being creative and is inspired by flavours from all over the world. Izzy can cater for gluten-free and other intolerances are catered without compromising quality and flavour. Whether it is brunch or a gourmet-dinner you’re after, Izzy’s food won’t disappoint. Cooking classes are also available for those who want to dabble into preparing vegan food. She focuses on fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients, preparing each dish with care but above all with love.

Smoked beetroot purée with vegetables, vegan almond feta

“We really enjoyed our first private dining experience with Isabel. She’s an amazing, creative cook who got to grips with our kitchen quickly, was professional and incredibly friendly too. Her food is vegan and as meat eaters, we were bowled over by how delicious everything was, especially the seemingly simple risotto which was creamy and full of flavour. All four of us were inspired and impressed by what she did. Whether your vegan or not, I would highly recommend Isabel!”

Isabel’s creative menu really impressed the jury. Her plate presentation was impeccable, and she created a very relaxed atmosphere. All the guests adored her vegan dishes, and were pleasantly surprised with the delightful flavours.
