Validation Dinner: Gareth Williams

Congratulations to chef Gareth Williams on his successful validation by the La Belle Assiette Jury!

Congratulations to chef Gareth Williams on his successful validation dinner. His validation took place on the 27th of April in Essex. The role of the jury members was to try the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.

Gareth has a cheerful, unassuming nature and a love and passion for food that has given him an eclectic career. With 30 years experience he has benefited from Relais et Chateaux hotels, The Lanesbourough in London and gastro pubs. He has cooked at most of the top sporting events, The Olympics 2012 being his highlight. A spell in Grand Cayman and he is able to draw on a wide range of cooking styles to suit your taste, and dietary needs. He says dinner parties are a perfect platform for using fresh, local produce, and a chance to shine. It’s a fabulous feeling and a pleasure to create a memorable dining experience.

Trio of lamb, dauphinoise potato, spring greens, caponata, rosemary jus


Assiette of desserts, lemon tart, chocolate fondant, thin baked apple flan

  • “Gareth arrived very well prepared and produced a very good four course meal. He didn’t have a lot of room to work because the kitchen is quite small but didn’t deter from the quality of the food or his attention to detail and each course looked and tasted excellent. He also served each course with a smile and a little explanation on what he had prepared for us to eat. I would not hesitate in recommending him to our friends for a high class dining experience in your own home. For me he was a 5 out of 5.”
