Validation Dinner: Alastair Prichard

Congratulations to chef Alastair Prichard on his successful validation by the La Belle Assiette Jury!

Congratulations to chef Alastair Prichard on his successful validation dinner. His validation took place on the 29th of May in Exeter. The role of the jury members was to try the private chef dining experience and evaluate the menu prepared by the chef.

Robust and elegant. Local and organic. Wandering British cuisine. After years of travelling the globe and working and eating on four continents, Alastair has returned home to cater for some of the smartest and most refined palates in London and the South West. His food is recognisably British in tone, but borrows occasionally from India, the Americas, France, Italy and Spain. The focus is always on sourcing the best local ingredients, and Alastair has a personal relationship with some of the best producers in the South West and beyond. Sustainability is also high on his agenda, and wherever possible ingredients are organic and always certified sustainable. As excited by a greenhouse tomato as by a fine beef fillet or native lobster, Alastair squeezes the last ounce of flavour from everything and lets quality ingredients speak for themselves. Alastair has been hired as a private chef across the globe; cooking for a wide variety of events including shooting weekends for prestigious country estates, corporate team building weekends and intimate dinner parties in private houses and The Pineapple Room in the heart of Totnes. His bespoke menu writing service will have your taste buds tingling at the prospect of eating a unique meal, at your event, or indeed at his famous pop-ups!
