First off is Christos Georgakis, an award winning chef based in Ystradgynlais! Christos was semi-finalist in Welsh Chef of the Year, semi finalist in Masterchef Professionals and has had 30 years experience in hospitality. Chef Christos specialises in modern British cuisine with a lot of Mediterranean influence. He is able to cater for a range of dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan guests.
Chef Christos works predominantly in Swansea, Cardiff and Port Talbot; however, he is available in a variety of places in Southern Wales. One client said “Christos made our celebration incredibly memorable”, and another, that “he exceeds all expectations.”
Next up is Chef Manveer Holloway, our lovely chef based in Pontypridd. Chef Manveer started his career at a 4* hotel and trained under a Michelin star Head chef. There he learned a massive amount from large banquets to the precision of fine dining. He then moved to a bistro to work as a second chef doing orderings, menu development and stock control.
After that Manveeer went and worked in the Channel Islands for two years in a small hotel catering at a two Rosette level. He spent a lot of hard hours learning the pastry section to get a better understanding of the sweeter side of the kitchen. He then returned to his original 4* hotel and ran the pastry section catering 400 cover weddings plus restaurant menus.
Manveer has been described as a “very hard working, talented, skilled and friendly chef”, and “the perfect chef”.
And last but not least, Chef Sarah-Jasmina Moussabih! Currently based in Cardiff, Sarah has been cooking professionally since 2008 at a wide variety of establishments across her home town of Helsinki, Finland. Being born the daughter of a Finnish mother and Moroccan father gifted Sarah the opportunity to grow up amongst two unique culinary cultures. Whilst working as Sous Chef at Trattoria Sogno in Helsinki, Sarah came to the attention of the public as a contestant in Hell’s Kitchen Suomi in 2013, ultimately finishing as runner-up. Her experience on the show ignited a hunger to cook competitively alongside some of the very best cooking talent Europe has to offer. After relocating to Wales with her partner, Sarah continued to compete by entering the ‘National Chef of the Year’ competition at Le Cordon Bleu in London and twice reaching the semi-finals.
After receiving high praise from the judging panel for her Nordic influence and unique methods, Sarah dreamed of introducing to South Wales her Nordic culinary ideas in a new and unique way. Sarah loves to work with the fresh and preserved ingredients enjoyed during the dramatically shifting Nordic seasons. This commonly includes seafood, game and ingredients prepared using age old traditions and methods applied in a contemporary style. She has been described as an “exceptional cook” and one customer said, “food itself was gorgeous – probably nicer than most restaurants”!
